One Animation Per day

HIT Research Gallery, Curator

19/05/2013 — 30/05/2013

The exhibition “One Animation per Day” presented selected animation films of graduates from the Animation Department of the Royal College of Art in London created between 2003-2011. The films selected are sophisticated multi-layered works, dealing with diverse subjects and representing different conceptual, and technical approaches to animation. The films were shown in the exhibition in the context of a gallery space, and thus demonstrated the possibility of experiencing them in a new manner.

The animations offered original and contemporary interpretations of cultural myths, apocalyptic scenarios, and critical approaches to the current social reality and to the takeover by new technologies of any aspect of our daily life. They were full of intensity, virtuosity and imagination.

Among the animations exhibited many were awarded prizes in various festivals around the world.
