Between the Real and the Virtual

The Public Space in the Digital Age

The development of the cybernetic space on its various forms has significantly changed the way in which space is being perceived, both in its virtual and physical manifestations: new typologies based on non-linearity, non-hierarchic structures and rhizomatic networks transformed the ways in which space is being organized and performed. The lecture will focus on the new relationship emerging between public and private spaces as a result of the use of new technologies. It will offer a critical reading of these new relations by referring to relevel art and architectural works.
