Curatorial Works

Yael Eylat Van Essen

In this lecture I presented my curatorial work in recent years focusing on the interface between art, design, science and technology. In this talk, I addressed the main themes with  which engaged in my exhibitions, among them: the link between technologies to political and economic systems, new practices of spatial organization and mapping, automation of creative mechanisms, fabrication processes and the deconstruction of the concept of “identity”. I referred to my approach to curatorship as a generative research platform. In this context, I presented among others the LifeObject exhibition which was presented in the Israeli Pavilion at the 15th Biennale for Architecture in Venice, which dealt with the relationship between architecture and biology and involved collaborations between scientists and architects.
